Finding a server full of people who like what you like and talking to them every day, not once.

Discord isn't random chat. It's the opposite: you join a server built around a game, a show, a hobby, a city, and you talk to the same people over time. Text channels, voice rooms you can drop into, video if you want it. It needs an account and it's free. If what's making you bored is not the lack of a stranger but the lack of a group, this is the answer, and it's the only thing on this site that turns into friends.
Finding a server
Use the Discover tab or search 'discord server' plus the thing you're into. Big public servers are noisy; mid-sized ones (a few hundred active people) are where conversations happen. Voice channels are the shortcut - hop in, say hi, and you're talking within a minute.
Why it beats random chat for loneliness
Random chat gives you a stranger for two minutes. A server gives you the same twenty people at 11pm every night. Over a few weeks that becomes something. It's slower to start, and you have to show up, but it's the only option on this list that compounds.
Downsides: moderation varies by server, and some communities are cliquey. Try three before you judge it.
