Chatrandom has been around since the early days and it's grown into a bundle: the standard random video chat, a gender filter, and a set of chat rooms organised by topic and language. If random matching wears you out, the rooms let you drop into a group with a shared interest instead. It has apps and a website. Free covers the basics; the gender filter and ad removal are paid.
What Chatrandom is
Chatrandom is a free random video chat that claims over twenty million users to date and shows a live count on its homepage (32,000 online when we checked). No sign-up is required for most users. It offers one-on-one video chat, text chat, themed chat filters, gender preferences and a country filter, and it describes its moderation as automated AI systems plus easy block and report tools. Free vs paid
The terms are clear: basic video chat is free, and some additional features are available for purchase according to published payment terms, with account registration possibly required. The billing support page adds the two rules that matter. You can cancel at any time, cancellation is processed immediately, and access may continue to the end of the billing cycle. But there are no refunds, proration or credits for unused days of a subscription. If you subscribe, you're paying for the full cycle whatever happens.
