Stripchat review: what it is, who it's for
A big free-to-watch cam platform with strong filters and a modern interface.
Facts checked September 17, 2026 · stripchat.com
Open Stripchat →
Stripchat runs on the same free-to-watch, tip-to-support model as Chaturbate, with a more modern interface and better filtering by category, region and language. Public rooms are free to watch; tokens buy tips and private shows. Browsing needs no account, and the site works well in a phone browser. It's one of the two or three largest cam sites, so there's always a lot online at any hour. Adults only, with verified performers.
What Stripchat is
Stripchat is the other big free-to-watch cam site, with public rooms you can enter without paying, strong filters and a newer interface than Chaturbate. Its own pitch is "a place of sexual freedom", and the categories run girls, couples, guys and trans plus long tag lists. Everything is 18+: you confirm your age on entry, and the site publishes an 18 U.S.C. 2257 record-keeping statement saying all models have contractually confirmed they are 18 or older.
Free and paid
Watching public rooms is free and so is a basic account. Tokens are the currency for tips, private shows, spying on someone else's private and cam2cam video calls. The terms say token prices are posted on the site and can change, including for promotions, and that you need a valid card or other listed method to buy. There's an auto-refill feature; the terms warn in capitals that your filed payment details may be charged automatically for purchases or recurring purchases you've authorised, so check that setting.
Refunds, in the terms' own words
Stripchat may refund tokens when there are technical problems with the site. It will never refund tokens for a tip (tips are gifts and can't be reversed) or for spying on a private show. If your account is terminated for breaching the terms, you lose unused tokens. That's the whole policy, and it's stricter than it sounds only if you tip by accident, so tip deliberately.
Recordings and verification
Models can allow users to record their shows; the terms say any recorded show is for personal entertainment only. Anyone who wants to upload content must complete identity verification. As a viewer you don't need to verify to watch.
Model support
Stripchat links to Pineapple Support, a nonprofit offering free and subsidised therapy to people working in the online adult industry. That's a small signal about how the platform treats performers.
Who runs it
The terms describe the operator as a limited liability company registered in Cyprus under number HE 349515; the company name is rendered in a way our text reader couldn't capture, so we're not guessing it. Terms last modified August 21, 2026, effective September 17, 2026.
Stripchat against the alternatives
Stripchat and Chaturbate are the two free-to-watch giants. Chaturbate publishes clearer token pricing in its support pages; Stripchat has the more modern interface and filters. BongaCams runs the same model with published euro prices and no recurring charges. LiveJasmin is the paid, private-show end. Table below.

Verdict
Stripchat is the modern twin of Chaturbate: free to watch, tips and privates on tokens, and a terms page that tells you plainly what won't be refunded. If you like the interface, it's a fine default. Chaturbate is the pick if you want the clearest published token pricing.
